Pemphigus - symptoms, causes and treatment, risks

Bullworm: treatment of adults and children

Vebulosis, the treatment of which is difficult and long, belongs to dermatological diseases. It is characterized by rapid progression and severe course, affects both adults and children.

Reasons for the development of pemphigus

The etiology of pemphigus in adults and children could not be determined for a long time, but recent studies have shown that this disease has an autoimmune origin. It is also determined that infection of the skin with staphylococcus aureus is important for the development of pathology.

Symptoms of pemphigus

Characteristic symptoms of pemphigus are eruption of small bubbles with serous contents. Their localization depends on what form of the disease develops:

  • normal - rashes appear on the mucous membrane, which are accompanied by an unpleasant smell;
  • leafy - blisters form on the skin, crusts form at the same time;
  • non-acantholytic - rashes are located on the mucous membrane and lips. This form of pathology is more often diagnosed in old age.

For pemphigus in children and adults, the following are also observed:

  • severe weakness;
  • increased drowsiness;
  • deterioration or complete loss of appetite;
  • weight loss even against the background of eating high-calorie food.

To detect folliculitis in newborns, older children and adults, the following examination methods are performed:

  • examination of the patient and evaluation of the rash;
  • Nikolsky's test - with its help, differential diagnosis with other skin diseases is carried out;
  • histological and cytological examination.

Symptoms of pemphigus (the second name of the disease) are often similar to other pathologies that require different therapy. Therefore, before prescribing treatment, a scrupulous study of the symptoms is required.

Treatment of pemphigus in adults

Embrella is a disease for which complex treatment is carried out. It is based on:

  • systemic therapy;
  • local treatment;
  • extracorporeal methods.

Among the medicines, antibiotics, cytostatics and corticosteroids are prescribed. They must be combined with local treatment - these are:

  • treatment with ointments made on the basis of corticosteroids;
  • irrigation of the affected areas of the body with anesthetic drugs;
  • treatment with aniline dyes.

Viral pemphigus requires the appointment of antiviral drugs.

Treatment of pemphigus in adults also includes the use of extracorporeal methods - these are:

  • hemodialysis;
  • hemosorption;
  • plasmapheresis.

Pemphigus in children and adults can also be treated with prolonged corticosteroids - these are drugs such as Diprospan, Depo-medrol, Metypred-depo. Use can cause side effects, but changing the treatment regimen should be approached with caution - relapses of the disease with a more severe course are possible. The most severe side effects when taking corticosteroids include:

  • steroid diabetes;
  • disorders from the gastrointestinal tract;
  • obesity even with a low-calorie diet;
  • increased blood pressure;
  • excessive excitability of the nervous system;
  • depression;
  • insomnia.
