From March 21 to October 31, 2023, the Dobrobut medical chain, with the support of the international charitable foundation Direct Relief, ran a program to provide free chemotherapy drugs to the public.
The medicines could be obtained at the Dobrobut Diagnostic and Treatment Center at 3 Simi Idzykovskoho St. and at the Dobrobut Multidisciplinary Hospital on the left bank at 12A Mykola Bazhana Ave.
Within the first stage of the program, patients could receive free Tamoxifen Citrate 10 mg made in the USA for a 3-month treatment course. Patients who had been diagnosed with breast cancer and prescribed the appropriate drug could receive the medication.
To receive the drug, they had to contact the Dobrobut contact center by calling (097) 495 2 888, (050) 495 2 888, (044) 495 2 888.
The coordinator set the date and time of the visit. During a visit on weekdays at the Diagnostic and Treatment Center at 3 Idzykovskikh Street, it was also possible to ask an oncologist a question about taking the drug. It was necessary to have medical documentation confirming the prescription of Tamoxifen, as well as an identity card.
"Cancer patients are one of the most vulnerable segments of the population. Especially during the war. The team of our Dobrobut Clinical Oncology Center, consisting of experienced oncologists, surgical oncologists and chemotherapists, ensures maximum comfort and the highest quality medical care for patients. Support of Direct Relief is an opportunity for us to provide people who need it a free medicine, and I'm happy about it", — Yuriy Kondratskyi, chief oncologist of the Dobrobut medical network, says.
