Face lift - types, indications, complications
Modern medicine has learned to solve the issue of beauty and youth quite successfully - a circular face lift is a well-established procedure. It can be performed by various methods and does not always require surgical intervention.
Indications and contraindications for the procedure
Before sending the patient to the procedure, the specialist must examine him and identify possible contraindications. The reason is interference with the body's natural processes, which under certain circumstances can end tragically. A face lift without surgery is performed according to the following indications:
- double chin;
- lowered eyelids;
- presence of deep mimic wrinkles;
- lowered outer corners of the eyes;
- there are static wrinkles on the forehead;
- vertical wrinkles are visually observed on the cheeks;
- the soft tissues of the cheeks have fallen (ptosis).
If, in the presence of indications, any person (both men and women) can seek qualified medical care, certain contraindications make this impossible:
- diseases of the respiratory, cardiac and vascular systems in a severe stage;
- disorders in the blood coagulation system;
- skin diseases. If they have a chronic form, then the contraindication will be unconditional. With an acute form of the disease, the face lift is postponed until complete recovery;
- kidney and/or liver failure;
- diabetes of various degrees;
- any inflammatory diseases in the acute stage.
Types of non-surgical face lift
Cosmetologists can offer several methods of face lifting without surgical intervention:
- APTOS threads. This method is considered "intermediate", i.e. the patient's age does not yet allow surgical intervention, and all other non-surgical methods no longer give the proper result. APTOS threads for face lifting are a strong material, the possibility of correction of various parts of the face and absolute safety for the patient. Such a procedure is not performed if a benign or malignant tumor was previously diagnosed, and there is also a tendency to the formation of keloid scars.
- Mesonitki. This method of face lifting has been developed recently. It was first used in 2011, but has already gained popularity around the world. A facelift with mesothreads lasts a maximum of 30 minutes and consists in the introduction of mesothreads into the skin using special acupuncture needles. This method can be used twice - usually 2-3 weeks after the initial procedure, an additional injection of the material is required. One month after threading, any rejuvenating procedures can be performed on the face, including deep lifting.
- Lifting procedures. They are carried out in almost every beauty salon and give a good effect if changes in the contour of the face appeared relatively recently. Most often, hardware face lifting is performed when the skin is affected by a laser beam. This method is painless and has an excellent effect lasting from 3 months to 1 year.
Surgical face lift
If the mentioned methods of correcting the face contour did not give results, then you can do a surgical facelift - after 50 years, all cosmetologists-surgeons go for such measures. Most often, the endoscopic method is used for this - it is minimally traumatic, prevents the development of bleeding, does not leave traces of incisions on the skin, does not require hospitalization of the patient in the inpatient department of a medical institution.
Endoscopic face lift can be performed simultaneously with other rejuvenation procedures. It is often combined with laser skin resurfacing, which leads to an incredible result: sagging skin and wrinkles disappear, and the skin itself becomes even/smooth.
Rehabilitation period
It is possible to preserve the stunning effect after lifting the oval of the face for a long time, but for this you need to follow certain recommendations of specialists and correctly spend the recovery period. After the non-surgical procedure, severe pain may appear - in this case, the use of any painkillers is allowed. The non-surgical procedure does not have a recovery period, but during the first 5 days, patients are not recommended to visit baths/saunas/swimming pools and open water bodies, as well as use scrubs and masks. The use of decorative cosmetics should also be limited.
If a face lift was performed surgically (the price for such procedures, by the way, is quite adequate), then in the first 7-10 days the following rules should be followed:
- It is impossible to lift weights and do sports, because this can increase blood pressure, which is extremely undesirable.
- It is necessary to give up the use of aspirin, because for two weeks it can provoke bleeding, and healing processes will be inhibited due to blood thinning.
- Do not drink alcoholic beverages.
